Serbia vs Wales – World Cup Qualifier – 11th June

Serbia vs Wales - World Cup Qualifier - 11th June Serbia will host Wales in Belgrad on June 11th. The match for Group D of the UEFA qualifiers for the World Cup will be a key encounter. Serbia are leading the group with 11 points in 5 matches. Wales, after surprising everyone in the Eurocup, had a shaky start on their journey to Russia, with 7 points,  4 draws and only one win.

The home team is in great shape, winning their last match against Georgia in Tbilisi by a comfortable 3-1 margin. Slavljub Muslin manages a team with a solid defense, with 3 defenders and two full-backs. The team revolves around Nemanja Matic in midfield. The Chelsea player plays a key role, as the main creator of the team. Although the team lacks some offensive power, this hasn’t been a problem of late.

For Wales, things look more complicated. Gareth Bale, a key player, won’t be playing due to suspension. This hurts the offensive power of a team who relies mostly on him and Aaron Ramsey for creation. Given their recent performances, this might not be enough for the team managed by Chris Coleman.

Serbia are well positioned , with the odds at an average of 7/10 for the win, which I certainly don’t see as being a bad bet. A match with three goals + (over 2.5), with odds at 7/5, is a bold bet, but there could be room for this to happen given that both teams need to win.
